Astrophage Power Bowl with Solar Infused Drizzle

Astrophage Power Bowl for an April 2026 infused recipe

Are you a Star Wars fan? I love sci-fi in all its forms, books, audiobooks, movies, all of it. I saw Project Hail Mary with Ryan Gosling for my birthday in IMAX, and it was terrific. His character, Dr. Grace, teams up with an alien named Rocky, and the two, both alone and searching for answers, make a surprisingly endearing pair. Try our recipe for an Astrophage Power Bowl with Solar Infused Drizzle.

Knowing food in space is limited, I started wondering how they might approach a meal together, and of course, how THC would find its way into the mix.

Where Science Meets the Stomach
Space doesn’t care about cravings. It cares about survival. Meals are about efficiency, nutrients, and staying alive long enough to solve the next problem. That’s how Ryland Grace sees food at first.

But then there’s Rocky.

He doesn’t eat like us or understand why we’d want to enjoy food at all. Somewhere between experiments and quiet moments, food becomes something more. Not just fuel. Something human. Something shared, even if only one of them can take a bite.

Rocky and Ryan Gosling as Dr. Grace

The Story

Grace stared at the tray. Quinoa again. Efficient. Predictable.

“You prepare fuel. But add non-functional elements,” Rocky observed.

“Flavor isn’t non-functional,” Grace said.

He kept going. Sweet potatoes, roasted with just a touch of brown sugar. Brussels sprouts, charred at the edges.

Then, a carefully measured infused oil was stirred into a golden sauce. Controlled. Intentional.

“You are altering chemistry for pleasure.”

“Yeah,” Grace said. “It matters.”

He assembled the bowl.

“This does not increase efficiency,” Rocky said.

“No,” Grace replied. “It increases sanity.”

“Sanity… new variable.”

“Exactly.”

1 cup quinoa, rinsed
2 cups water or broth

1 large sweet potato, cubed
2 cups Brussels sprouts, halved
2 tbsp olive oil
1 to 2 tsp brown sugar
Salt and pepper

Optional protein: tofu or chicken

Solar Sauce
2 tbsp THC-infused coconut oil
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp grated ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
Juice of half a lime
Pinch chili flakes
Salt to taste

Instructions
Cook quinoa in water or broth, simmer 15 minutes, fluff, and set aside.

Roast sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts in oil, with salt, pepper, and brown sugar, at 400°F for 25 to 30 minutes, until caramelized.

Warm infused coconut oil on low with turmeric, ginger, and garlic. Do not overheat. Remove from heat and stir in honey, lime juice, chili flakes, and salt.

Assemble with quinoa, roasted vegetables, and protein if using. Drizzle sauce over the top.

This bowl is about balance. Nutrition and comfort. Science and soul.

Turns out survival isn’t just staying alive.

It’s remembering why you want to.
